About Us

Johnstown Chapter

Before becoming Delta Chi, our chapter was known as Phi Delta Psi, which was a local fraternity to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Then in the fall of 1972 we chartered under the letters you see us wearing today. This made Johnstown the Gamma Chapter in Pennsylvania, meaning that we were the third chapter to ever be established in the state. Since becoming Delta Chi we have been on the Pitt-Johnstown campus the longest of all the active fraternities as we have maintained a tradition of excellence among the local Greek community.

Today we currently have 29 active members, but we have had over 600 men be initiated since we became Delta Chi. The members of our chapter are stand out individuals in the Mountain Cat community; our members hold leadership positions in other student organizations, work for campus departments, and dedicate countless hours of community service. Our chapter house is located on campus outside the Student Union at Larkspur 2 Lodge, which serves as a beacon for individuals who seek to enhance their undergraduate experience.

The Johnstown Delta Chi is proud to say that we lead by example at Pitt-Johnstown. In fact, during the 2012-2013 academic year, our chapter was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Mountain Cat Award, which is also known as the Organization of the Year Award.

Our members will continue to strive towards success, however, while we do, we would like to welcome you to com down to Larkspur 2 and meet our members.
